News and Updates

I am going to start uploading some of the new amplified DDoS attack vectors being used against the VPN servers. They are in .pcap format and can be viewed here. UPDATE: New VPN server based in Chicago added to the network.

New server has been made public using OpenVPN only. WireGuard is still going through a testing phase. Both servers can now be chosen from the VPN download page.

A new VPN server has been added that is currently using the WireGuard protocol as opposed to OpenVPN. I'd like to thank @tidus from KeyBase for the recommendation to try this protocol out. This protocol operates over UDP only at this present time. I'd like to also mention that this server is currently not available for public use as it is undergoing a testing period for an indefinite length of time to make sure everything runs smoothly. Once this testing completes, the server may be made available to the public.

The mail server has now been moved to a brand new server. You should still be able to see any received emails that were sent to your address while the server was down. If you have any problems, don't hestitate to send an email to [email protected] with your concerns. Additionally, I have fixed a bug that prevented sending emails to various Yandex and Gmail domains from working. Our status page reports that we had approx. 1 hour and 49 minutes of downtime, which is better than was expected. Anyway, enjoy.

A courvix.com server change resulted in a brief 12 minutes of downtime earlier today. The next downtime will likely be for the mail server @ box.courvix.com which will be moved to a new server on September 28th.

I have added a status monitor to check on the uptime of all our services. Also, the VPN config generation page has been temporarily disabled while I work out some issues.
September 6th, 2019
The VPN server has been reset and all users have been deleted. You will need to generate a new config to use the VPN. Also, the server now runs over TCP instead of UDP in the interest of people with restrictive internet providers and governments. UDP may be added as a protocol later down the line.

Site is now live on the redesign. There's still a bit of work to do and some page conversions to do.

Domain crime.su has been added to network. People can now register @crime.su email addresses.

Since the 15th, I have been offering a DDoS protected VPN server hosted inside the Netherlands for free. I have decided that this entire site will eventually be rebranded as a site that offers numerous free services. Currently, the services I offer are the emails, and the VPN I just mentioned. Courvix.com will no longer be limited or known as just an email provider, but a network of free services (and maybe some paid things as well) for others to use. The site will also be redesigned at some point and be much easier to look at. As it stands currently, courvix.com is used for hosting certain pages, and box.courvix.com for others. Although the deviation isn't disruptive, it's mildly confusing and doesn't look good. At some point this place will look much better. The email service has now been operational for just over 2 years and I still plan to keep it running indefinitely. I also can't wait to start offering more free services here because not only is it fun, but keeps me busy when there's nothing else to do. I also am open to the idea of volunteers knowledgeable in web development and server administration potentially helping out where possible, but that's a long shot. Anyway, time to post some stats.VPN Server Stats (Operational since August 15)
